inspection with Instructor· Students will perform all Straight
Line Backing and Driver’s Side Parallel ParkBreak· Students will

demonstrating proper shifting technique· Students will practice

Road · Students will perform
Pre-Trip inspection with Instructor· Instructor will drive
students on training route, demonstrating proper driving
techniquesShifting, setting up for left hand and right hand turn
(using button hook on right turns)Proper gears for turns. Stopping
at least five feet behind stop signs and lines. Stop at
R.R.Crossing for Haz Mat· Students will then in turn drive the
training routeLunch· Students will again drive the training route·

Day 14

give Progress Exam· Instructor will give DOT Written ExamBreak·
Students will perform Pre-Trip inspectionLunch· Students will
continue to drive in heavier traffic conditions· Clean truck out

Day 15
Road/Lab · Students will perform
Pre-Trip inspection· Students will drive on upgrades and
downgradesLunch· Students will drive out to rural area and be
allowed to practice driving on/off scales,tight turns on narrow
roads, setting up to load in tight quarters etc· Clean out truck

Day 16
Yard/Road · Students will
perform Pre-Trip inspection· Instructor will check with Director
to insure all requirements for students to graduate have been met·
Students will perform backing exercises-concentrating on areas of
difficultyLunch· Students will be allowed to drive the test route
for practice and familiarity· Clean truck out and windows and
mirrors as needed
Day 17 Road · Students will perform Pre-Trip
inspection · Students will take a road trip-will be out of area
the whole dayLunch – Students will bring their own or be prepared
to by lunch out of town· Clean truck out and clean windows and
mirrors as needed
Day 18 Yard/Road · Students will perform Pre-Trip inspection·
Students and Instructor will wash truck and trailer at truck wash
or yard weather permittingLunch· Students will continue road work
with Instructor correcting any problem areas·Clean out truck and

Day 19
Road · Students will perform
Pre-Trip inspection· Continue Road workLunch· Continue road work

Day 20 Graduation · Instructor will take class picture ·
Students will test with third party examiner · Students and
Instructor will sign Training Booklet· Award School Diploma and
DDC Certificate The School Director and/or Training Coordinator
will have final authority to hold back any student regardless of
employment guarantee or method of payment if student has not shown
proficiency in all areas of the Artesia Driving Academy’s CDL
Curriculum. Holdovers will not be required to pay the school for
additional training. To
